Some people say that Tammy Trujillo has done it all. According to Tammy, not even close!
Tammy has worked in the entertainment industry since the age of 2, singing and dancing her way through childhood, much of it with a show that brought the characters of the Disney Small World ride to life.
Her broadcasting career started while still in college. She has worked as a morning co-host, news anchor, sportscaster, and traffic reporter on many of Southern California’s largest television and radio stations. Tammy has been honored with numerous RTNA Golden Mike Awards, one of the broadcasting industry’s highest honors as well as two Gold Hermes Creative Awards.
Tammy has also taken her expertise into the classroom, teaching college broadcasting and authoring two textbooks on the subject.
Through it all, Tammy’s love for music has been alive and well. She’s performed on-stage with many groups from the 60s and 70s including Al Wilson, Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods, Ron Dante and she was a member of the band that gave the world Bubblegum Music, the iconic Ohio Express.
Tammy always seems to have a microphone handy and has recorded hundreds of hours of interviews with some of the most important performers in the music industry.
Tammy considers Talks with John to be one of the most important and engaging projects of her career. As she puts it, “After each show, even I am convinced that I have just spent time with the real John Lennon. That’s how convincing Tim Piper is. That tops it all!”
