Randy Hill (Guitar/Vocals)
Randy Hill began playing guitar at the age of 12. That was pretty much immediately after he saw the Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan Show. That was all he needed. Off he went to the local music store, started taking lessons and learning how to play his favorite Beatles’ songs. Randy’s first successful band was “Dayspring” which opened for Blood Sweat & Tears, Poco, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Crosby Stills, Nash & Young, Steve Miller, Ten Years After, John Mayall, and Spencer Davis. Randy then went international – touring France French singer Veronique Sanson, the US, Europe, New Zealand and Australia with The Pointer Sisters and then Europe with French artist, Johnny Hallyday. Randy splits his stage time between the nostalgia Rock ‘n Roll band “Sha Na Na” which he has portrayed “Rockin Randy” for the last ten years and with the Talks with John Band. Randy also teaches guitar lessons in Southern California while working in animal rescue with The Rescue Riders.
Jerry Strull – (Guitar/Vocals)
Jerry Strull has known Tim and Greg Piper since they were teenagers, playing rock ‘n roll shows for colleges and prestigious private functions while taking the Hollywood Club scene by storm as they were being shopped to several record companies. Born in Texas, but raised in L.A., Jerry’s been a sought after guitarist for both live and studio work since. Best known for his lead guitar work on The Tooners “Rocktasia”, he’s also an accomplished singer/songwriter and has recently completed a series of music videos of unplugged performances of his music. Jerry played with Tim and Greg in the much-acclaimed stage show “Just Imagine” for several years before joining the Talks with John Band. As Jerry says “I’ve been a Beatles super-fan all my life, so I’m thrilled to be recreating my favorite music with such great musicians!” He’s also often found at various Southern California hot spots performing and singing a combination of soulful cover songs along with his original works. His musical style has been described as, “Neo-Apocalyptic Campfire Songs for Dreamers”.
